- Services and Capabilities
DTE Louisiana Midstream is a major gathering and pipeline system with a current capacity of 1.4 Bcfd with expansion capability to 2.0+ Bcfd. It consists of Blue Union Gathering and LEAP Gathering Pipeline (currently under construction), located in northwest Louisiana and East Texas’ Haynesville shale basin. The Blue Union Gathering system includes water-related services and sand supplies used in the production of natural gas across the Haynesville basin. The sand business, called Gen6 Proppants, is located in the heart of the Haynesville shale basin in close proximity to the top ten Haynesville gas producers.
DTE Midstream acquired 100 percent of the assets from Momentum Midstream and Indigo Natural Resources, Louisiana’s largest gas producer, on December 4, 2019. Our assets serve multiple markets in Louisiana and Texas—the state of Louisiana, gas distribution companies, industrial/petrochemical, power plants, and LNG export terminals. DTE Louisiana Midstream is managed out of our Houston and Grand Cane, LA offices.
