    David Slater is responsible for overseeing and leading the growth of DTE Energy’s storage, pipeline, and gathering “midstream” presence.  He brings more than 25 years of experience in the industry, having honed his expertise in business development, operations, regulatory and natural gas marketing at a variety of companies including Goldman Sachs, Nexen Marketing, Engage Energy US, LP and Union Gas. David earned an MBA degree and a Bachelor of Commerce — Honors Business Administration from the University of Windsor.

    Richard Redmond

    President - DTE Gathering & Processing

    Richard Redmond leads the operations, engineering and construction of DTE Midstream.  He previously led DTE’s gas production businesses in Northern Michigan and North Texas.  Prior to DTE Energy, Richard worked at CMS Oil & Gas as Vice President of Operations, as well at Amoco Production Company in a variety of engineering positions around the world. Richard earned a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College.

    Gregg Russell

    Senior Vice President, Business Development

    Gregg Russell is responsible for all commercial aspects of DTE Midstream’s transportation, storage, and gathering business platforms as well as new business development/acquisition activities. Prior to joining DTE, Gregg was with Energy Transfer Partners. Through his almost 30 years of experience he has commercially managed interstate/intrastate pipeline networks with over 13,000 miles of pipe, 550+ customers, 14.6 Bcf/day of total throughput, and over 160 Bcf of storage. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

    Knut Simonsen

    Senior Vice President, Business Planning

    Knut Simonsen is responsible for business planning, performance management, organizational development and providing strategic guidance for DTE Midstream. He brings more than 25 years of energy experience from McKinsey & Company, Texaco and DNB (Norwegian bank). Knut earned a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA degree from Columbia University.

    Senior Vice President, Project Development and Operations

    Chris Zona is responsible for the design, construction and implementation of DTE Midstream initiatives.  Prior to joining DTE, Chris held various engineering, planning, construction and operations management positions for ANR Pipeline Company and SEMCO Energy Gas relating to gathering, transmission & storage operations.  Chris earned a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit.

    Vice President, Commercial Development

    Mark Bering is responsible for the commercial development around DTE Midstream’s gathering business platform. Mark has spent almost 15 years with DTE Midstream in a variety of commercial capacities, including business development at Millennium Pipeline and growing the storage business at both Washington 10 and DTE Gas. Prior to joining DTE Energy, Mark worked for 15 years at Union Gas in a variety of management and business development roles. Mark received his BS degree in computer science from the University of Windsor.

    Kenneth is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of midstream projects.  Prior to joining DTE, Ken served as Vice President, Project Development, at Superior Appalachian Pipeline. Ken received a BS degree in Geology from Muskingum University.

    Chris is responsible for the operational management of the Bluestone Gathering business unit in the Marcellus Shale region of northeast Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining DTE Midstream, Chris held various marketing, operations and executive management positions for CONSOL Energy, a leading Northeast natural gas producer.  Chris earned a BS degree in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University.
